Students further practice the past simple of 'to be' while using adjectives to describe emotions and feelings. After a fun rhyming game, there is a guided speaking activity to get students using the past simple of 'to be'.

The listening centres on people describing their favourite restaurants, with a focus on descriptive adjectives. The lesson concludes with an interactive speaking game where students practise using adjectives to describe dining experiences in different contexts.

Remembering A LifeTarget Language: Life achievements, used to/would for past actions/states.Description: A commemorative speech is used to practise listening comprehension and the grammar structures 'used to' and 'would' for past habits and states. Multiple-choice and gap-fill exercises develop detailed listening skills before a grammar focus distinguishes between past actions and past states. There is a final writing task where students describe an influential person using the target language.
