Pronunciation >> Pronunciation Materials >> Like with normal dominoes, students must put words with a similar sound together so that, for instance, "book" and "look" can go together. This one practices vowel phonemes.

Pronunciation Dominoes

As in normal dominoes, like pairs must be put together. So, for example, 'stop' can be put next to 'fox'. Cut these strips across so that each dominoe has two words on it - one at either end.

The three phonemes practiced here are:

stop lock
put four
law sore
should wood
or fox
hawk hook
not fork
book bomb
crawl crop
cook would
August lost
knock war
floor foot
walk want Premium
