Sleepy Sleepy
Intermediate
Work with another student and use a dictionary to find out what these words mean. They are all related to sleep!
Did you OVERSLEEP this morning and get to work late? Studies show that nearly 40% have disrupted sleep patterns and spend a lot of the day YAWNING and wishing they could go into a back room for a quick NAP/SIESTA.
David Costello works at the San Diego Sleep Clinic and has this to say. "People don't sleep well enough for a whole variety of reasons. Some watch horror films and then have NIGHTMARES during the night and find it difficult to get back to sleep. Other people have spent years SLEEPWALKING around the house while asleep and then feel DROWSY the following day without understanding why. Others have partners who SNORE loudly and prevent them from getting a restful night's sleep. It's very depressing being kept awake while your partner is FAST ASLEEP and oblivious to any problems being caused!"
David suggests you go to see your doctor or a sleep specialist if you are having problems sleeping well.
