Match the spelling rules on the left with the examples on the right.

For each question, write in the space ONLY the correct number to match with the question number on the left. Example: if you think the first question on the right goes with number 7 on the left, write "7" in the first space.


1. one syllable words usually have short vowels
2. if F, L or S comes after a vowel, it's usually doubled
3. when two vowels are together, first is long, second is silent
4. Y makes a long 'i' sound at the end of one-syllable words
