Questions 1-3
Narrator: Questions 1 through 3 refer to the following announcement and floor plan.
Good morning, everyone. I have an important announcement regarding some changes to our office layout on the third floor. As you know, the Marketing team has been growing rapidly over the past few months, and they've simply run out of space in their current location. To accommodate this expansion, Marketing and IT will be swapping offices. This will put Marketing closer to the conference room, which they use frequently for client presentations. The move is scheduled for next weekend, so please make sure all your personal items are packed up by Friday afternoon. IT support will be on hand to help with computer and phone transfers. If you have any questions, please contact facilities management.
Questions 4-6
Narrator: Questions 4 through 6 refer to the following notice.
Attention all tenants of the Parkview Office Building. This is a notice from building management. Beginning Monday morning, one of the two elevators in the main lobby will be taken out of service for routine maintenance and safety inspections. The work is expected to take approximately five days to complete. During this time, please be aware that wait times for the remaining elevator may be longer than usual, especially during peak hours in the morning and at lunchtime. We encourage you to use the stairwell for trips of three floors or fewer if you are able to do so. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we complete these necessary repairs.
Questions 7-9
Narrator: Questions 7 through 9 refer to the following report.
Thank you all for coming. I'd like to share the results of the energy audit we conducted last month. Overall, our building's energy consumption is higher than the industry average, and we've identified some key areas for improvement. The main issue is lighting. Our audit found that lights in hallways, restrooms, and storage areas are frequently left on overnight, even when no one is using those spaces. To address this, we're proposing to install motion-activated sensors throughout the building. These sensors will automatically turn lights off when a room is empty for more than ten minutes. We estimate this change could reduce our electricity costs by up to fifteen percent annually. The installation is scheduled for the first week of next month.
Questions 10-12
Narrator: Questions 10 through 12 refer to the following voicemail message.
Hello, this is Maria from CleanCo Professional Services. I'm calling to confirm your scheduled floor maintenance for this weekend. As we discussed, our team will be coming in on Saturday morning to strip and wax all the floors in your office suite. This process typically takes about six hours to complete, and the floors will need an additional four hours to dry completely. To ensure the best results, we need the floors to be completely clear of any obstacles. Could you please make sure that all boxes, chairs, and other items are moved off the floor and onto desks or tables by Friday evening at the latest? If you have any questions or need to reschedule, please call me back at 555-0823. Thank you, and we'll see you Saturday.
