Questions 1-3

Narrator: Questions 1 through 3 refer to the following conversation.

Man: Hi, I have a reservation for tonight. The name is Peterson, Michael Peterson.

Woman: Good evening, sir. Let me check that for you. Hmm, I'm not seeing a reservation under Peterson. Could you spell your last name for me?

Man: P-E-T-E-R-S-O-N. I booked it online last week. Actually, I have the confirmation email right here on my phone if that helps.

Woman: Oh, that would be very helpful. Let me see... Ah, I see what happened. The booking was entered under your first name, Michael, rather than your last name. I do apologize for the confusion.

Man: No problem, as long as I have a room!

Woman: Absolutely. You're all set in Room 412. Here's your key card. The elevators are just around the corner to your left.

Questions 4-6

Narrator: Questions 4 through 6 refer to the following conversation.

Woman: Excuse me, I'd like to return this shirt. I bought it last weekend, but when I got home I realized the color doesn't match what I needed it for.

Man: Of course, I can help you with that. Do you have your receipt?

Woman: Unfortunately, no. I think I threw it away by accident. But I paid with my credit card, would that work instead?

Man: I understand. The thing is, our store policy requires a receipt for cash refunds. However, since you have the card, I can verify the purchase in our system and offer you store credit for the full amount.

Woman: That's fine with me. I'll probably just pick out a different color anyway.

Man: Perfect. Let me just scan the item and pull up the transaction. This will only take a moment.

Questions 7-9

Narrator: Questions 7 through 9 refer to the following conversation.

Woman: Good morning, Riverside Dental Clinic. How may I help you?

Man: Hello, this is Thomas Wright. I have an appointment scheduled for this Thursday at two o'clock, but I'm afraid I need to reschedule. Something's come up at work.

Woman: I see. Let me check what we have available. Is there a particular day that works better for you?

Man: Ideally sometime next week. My schedule should be much clearer by then. My manager just informed me about an important client meeting on Thursday that I can't miss.

Woman: Alright, I have an opening next Tuesday at nine in the morning. Would that suit you?

Man: Tuesday morning works perfectly. Thank you for fitting me in.

Woman: You're welcome, Mr. Wright. We'll see you next Tuesday at nine. Have a good day.

Questions 10-12

Narrator: Questions 10 through 12 refer to the following conversation.

Woman: So this is the main office area. As you can see, it's about two thousand square feet with plenty of natural light from these floor-to-ceiling windows.

Man: The view is really impressive. You can see the whole city center from here. But I have to say, we're on a fairly busy street. I'm a bit concerned about the noise level during the day. Our staff need to make a lot of phone calls.

Woman: That's a very common concern with downtown properties. But I should mention that all the windows in this building were replaced last year with double-glazed, soundproof glass. You'd be surprised how quiet it is even during rush hour.

Man: Oh, that's reassuring. What about parking? Do tenants have access to the garage downstairs?

Woman: Yes, the lease includes five reserved spaces in the underground garage, with the option to rent additional ones if needed.
