Elementary Reading Exercise

An Incredible Day!

Dear Sarah,

You are not going to believe what happened to me last week! I was walking home from work on Thursday afternoon, and I decided to take a different route through Covent Garden. It was very busy, as usual. Suddenly, I saw a large crowd of people with cameras outside a hotel. They were all shouting and trying to take photos.

I went a little closer to see what was happening. A big black car stopped, and a man got out. At first, I didn't recognise him. Then, he turned, and I realised it was Tom Hiddleston, my favourite actor! I was so shocked. He was wearing a very smart suit and he waved to the crowd.

I was too nervous to ask for a photo, but he walked right past me. He smiled at me for a second! Another girl next to me was very brave and she got his autograph on a piece of paper. I just stood there with my mouth open. I couldn't believe my luck.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you my exciting news.
