The Town of Chester

Chester is an ancient town in the North West of England. It is a very famous place because it has a complete Roman wall. You can walk on the wall and see the whole town centre from up there. The town has many special black and white buildings and unique two-level shops called 'The Rows'.

Above the main gate, there is a beautiful and famous clock, the Eastgate Clock. There is also a very big cathedral. A river, called the River Dee, runs through the town, and you can see small boats on the water or take a boat trip. Chester is a wonderful place for a day out with your family.
