1. Why does Louise dismiss Dan's idea of just booking somewhere hot?
They did the same last year and it ended up very expensive
She is worried the weather will not be reliable enough
They have already booked something else for the summer
Last year he got bored after only a few days

2. What does Louise say is special about the place in Portugal?
It is the cheapest option she found
It's not just a beach location
It is very close to the capital city, Lisbon
It is the only one with a private pool

3. Why does Louise prefer an apartment to a hotel in Portugal?
    Apartments are quieter than hotels
It is closer to the beach
They can eat at home and spend less
Hotels in that area were fully booked

4. What does Dan dislike about the shared pool in Portugal?
He would have to share it with families
It is smaller than the hotel pool
He does not like the idea of set times for using it
    It costs extra to use

5. Why does Louise suggest going in late June?
The weather is forecast to be hotter than in July
It is the only time Dan can get off work
Dan cannot take time off any later in the summer
Prices are a little cheaper then

6. How are they planning their dates to avoid using extra leave?
Taking only five days in total
Maximising the weekend days that they use
Going during a public holiday which would give them an extra day
Splitting the holiday across two weekends

7. What can we infer about Dan from his suggestion to flip a coin?
He is feeling tired and impatient
He has secretly already chosen France
He would rather not spend the evening comparing options
He thinks both options are too expensive

8. What does Dan say he will do if the two options are roughly equal?
Let Louise make the final choice
    Pick the cheaper one
Choose the one with its own pool
Suggest a third option he's keen on
