Thomas likes his job at the post office but he doesn't like Cynthia. He works there from Monday to Friday, and he enjoys helping people with their letters and packages. He likes talking to the customers and organising the mail. Every morning, Thomas arrives at 8 o'clock, makes a cup of coffee, and starts work.
But there is one problem: Cynthia. Cynthia works with Thomas at the post office. She is always late. She arrives at 8:30 or 9:00, and sometimes she doesn't do her work. Cynthia likes to drink tea in the staff room. Cynthia also loves talking. She loves talking about what she watches on TV. She loves talking about her garden. But mostly, she loves talking about Carlos. Carlos is her dog, a corgi. People say that Carlos is fat, but to Cynthis, Carlos is the best dog in the world.
Thomas doesn't like anything that Cynthia does. He is very organised, and he always finishes his work on time. But when Cynthia doesn't do her work, Thomas has to help. He often stays late to finish everything.
One day, Thomas says to Cynthia, "You need to help more. This is not fair!" Cynthia looks at him and says, "Sorry, I need to try more." But the next day, she is late again. And she is talking about TV or her garden. Or Carlos.
Even though Thomas likes his job, he does not like working with Cynthia.
Thomas is thinking of finding another job. Or asking Cynthia to find another job.
