TEFL Guide - Mexico![]() Elsie Ross - April 2002I work in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico it's great!!!! The city is so cultural but also has great night life. The pay is in order to the rate of inflation that Mexico suffers from. If you work a 30 hr week you can live quite well in your own apt. and even enjoy the weekends at the beach. You need a FM3 to work in Mexico legally and the schools help you with this process. Wayne - December 2001I loved teaching in Mexico, but I sure didn't love the low pay. Mexico is a wonderful beautiful country, with lots of interesting things to see and do. Sadly, most language schools there don't pay very well. (except in DF or maybe Monterrey) So if you decide to go there to work, you'd better have a safety net (cash back home) in case things don't go as planned. Universities pay a bit more, some of them anyway. |
