To teach TEFL in Cyprus you are required to have a third level Degree and a TEFL certificate for Government employment for non government schools at least a TEFL cert and a valid work permit and for nearly all the jobs you will need experience.

Jobs can be hard to find as most jobs are taken by locals(due to the work permit situation which will change as Cyprus enters the EU). Spring/early summer is the time to look and the best way is to contact the schools directly. A good way to find the addresses on the net is to use a Cypriot search engine like Kypros.net or Yellow pages.

Pay is good by TEFL standards and the Cypriot pound is very strong.
