I'm a TEFL teacher currently working and residing in Medellin, Colombia. I just wanted to send out a short message letting any individuals currently contemplating working in this region of the world that the opportunities for growth and career advancement are unlimited. Obviously the press Colombia gets in the international arena is rather bleak, but the truth is that unless you're involved with the wrong element, the chances of actually encountering any serious problems are rather slight.

You just need a little common sense and someone to give the necessary cliff notes, and you should, for the most part, be OK. I love it here and have yet to experience anything that would change my mind regarding the wonders of this country. So, if anyone has any questions, you're more than welcome to get in touch.
