Description: The lesson opens by asking students what they know about famous people. The first listening activity is a useful note-completion exercise and the second listening activity is more grammar-focused, on the third person interrogative form of the Present Simple tense. This grammar focus continues in the lesson as students look at the third person interrogative structure, then do a jigsaw speaking activity.

Target Language: Reading, vocabulary of investment and new startup companies.
Description: The lesson starts with a speaking activity where students have to think about worthy recipients of investment capital. The reading is centered around one of these start-up companies. The lesson finishes with the students taking part in a mock-up of Shark Tank/Dragon's Den, trying to convince their fellow students to invest in their "amazing" ideas!
