An Evening Out
Target Language: Going Out, functional language of inviting & suggesting.
Description: An initial survey about going out in the evening is followed by an exercise looking at the structures involved. A pairwork speaking exercise follows and the lesson ends with a card-based speaking game which will get your students moving around the classroom.

A Day On The Beach
Target Language: Past simple verbs \ Question forms \ beach and vacation vocabulary.
Description: Some early holiday/vacation vocabulary work is consolidated later in the lesson with a reading and then students are given the chance to use the new language speaking about going to the beach. And, to finish things off, a game!

Yes We Can
Target Language: Can/Can't for ability, musical instrument vocabulary.
Description: Students learn the names of several music instruments and how they are played. A reading follows that looks at two musical sisters. After a reading comprehension exercise, the grammar focus is on "can/can't" for ability. A freer speaking exercise closes the lesson.
