Expectations of the Course.
I like to do something like this with higher level students, some of who might be thinking 'oh, another year of English'. This activity gets them to look at where they are going with their English and what they hope to be able to get out of the course.

 

 

Dictionary Use Questionnaire.
Getting higher level students thinking about how they use dictionaries as learning aids which can lead on to improving this skill and becoming better independent learners.
