Procedure

Pre-teaching should concentrate on the following:

Structure: should, other modals, comparatives
Functions: Deciding, Agreeing, Disagreeing, Arguing a Point

Students are put into small groups of two, maximum three students. The two or three students are given different roles and the visual aids to help them in their discussions.

Situation:

The teacher is leaving the school at the end of the year and the students have decided to buy him/her a present. But what to buy? Use the visual aids below to help you decide on ONE present to buy.
