Second Conditional

If + past simple + would + infinitive

We use the second conditional to describe an impossible/very improbable situation and a future consequence:

e.g.:
If I won the lottery, I would buy a Ferrari.

   (very improbable) +    (future result)

Complete these second conditional sentences:

1. If I......................(speak) Japanese, I..................................(live) in Tokyo.

2. If James...........................(not have) a cat, he..........................(buy) a dog.

3. I..................................(live) in Monaco if I.......................(be) rich.

The question form is: What would you do if...?
