The lesson materials have been divided into the following categories for Intermediate: Click any one to go to the resources Pairwork Activities, Surveys, etcThere is a good variety of communicative materials for Intermediate. At intermediate level, students should feel pretty comfortable speaking in pairs or moving around the class and this allows the teacher to take a more withdrawn role. Some examples of pairwork and survey activities for Intermediate include, amongst others, work on passive, phrasal verbs, polite requests and an ice-breaker. Flashcards and Role CardsAt this Intermediate level, the flashcards/prompt cards will be used less in teacher-centred activities but rather to aid students in more open classroom speaking. Most of the vocabulary work you do in class will be individually catered for your students but there are some general materials here on ailments, the body, personality adjectives, etc.
WorksheetsRemember these worksheets can be done either in the class or be given for homework. For intermediate level there are worksheets here on verb patterns, modal verbs, the passive and conditionals, etc. StructureBy Intermediate, there is less, if any, need to use materials that focus so closely on individual grammatical parts of the language.
