Seasons: vocabulary

Students get practice at seasonal vocabulary.

House and Garden Vocabulary.

A series of useful vocabulary pictures which, in total, deal with around a hundred low-level vocabulary items around the house and the garden. Using pictures in this way makes the whole exercise more comprehensible and more enjoyable for the students.

These are good visual aids for the teacher, but due to enormous differences in this area between British, American, Australian, etc English, the vocabulary items themselves have been left off.

Adjective Order
Exercise based on adjective order in English. Students put adjectives in their natural order - nothing too excessive, only a maximum of three.

Which Sportsperson...?
Answer Sheet
Students read the quotations on the cards dealt and say which sportsperson would say each phrase. Teachers can use the cards in a variety of way - for example, pairs turn over the cards and see who can say the correct sport first.
