Agony Aunt Letters.
Students put together the questions to a newspaper agony aunt and answers given by her - and then discuss whether they agree with the answers or not.

Clark Meets Clare.
Read about Clark and Clare's first meeting. Students then have a vocabulary exercise to do and a true/false reading comprehension exercise.

Tom's Terrible Weekend.
Students read a short passage about Tom's weekend filling in all the prepositions that have been left out. Then they answer a few questions about the text.

Written Chain Story.
Students use question prompts to write one sentence each of a story. Good writing practice without being dull.

Past Continuous - Sentence Completion.
A writing exercise that demands very little. Students complete sentences using a combination of past simple and past continuous.

 

 

Mixed Up Letter - My Vacation.
Re-order this letter about a recent vacation in Europe. Gives good practice of paragraph and text structure as well as past simple practice.
